Not Even Here blends crafted beats with warm synth textures and sampled broken electronics as a bed for glass-like vocals, all run through a string of tape machines. The five-track EP takes the form of two electronic tracks, a live recorded piano track, and two ambient works. Everything is deteriorated in the production. It’s taped and re-taped, disappearing around the edges. I wanted it to feel barely held together and a bit undone, where all of the elements, rattled samples and bits and pieces of it could easily fall apart at any moment.
